Chapter 2: She’s (name)!

It was the following day after you ran into the Host club after visiting Haruhi and you weren’t feeling all that confident at attending school today but you still ended up an hour early. You had originally thought that sorting through books in the library may calm you down before class began for the day. *Ahhhh!.....H-He….w-why?!.......T-That was too embarrassing…….(sigh)…..*you thought inwardly.
After sorting through two boxes of books you had calmed down because you were beginning to believe that the encounter yesterday wasn’t a bad thing. *J-Just maybe I can—* you thought to yourself before…  “(Name)” you turned around, it was a teacher.
(time skip)
The teacher had asked you if you could take the pile of books she was carrying to the teachers’ lounge for her as she had something else to take care of. You accepted this request cheerfully (around the teachers you could relax just a little bit more). Making your way to the teachers’ lounge with a large pile of books in your hands you found it difficult to see clearly in front of you but just enough to know where you were going.
More students were appearing at this point, now this is where it was going to tricky, you now had to slow your pace a little to ensure you didn’t bump into anyone.
After having this thought however you collided with something “Ow!” nope not something, someone by the sounds of it. The collision caused by of you to fall backwards and the books to fall everywhere on the ground. You could hear the muttering of the students watching you. “Commoners these days.” “What does she think she’s doing?”. After you realized what had happened you immediately got up to apologize to the person you collided with but to your surprise this person was Kaoru. *Huh?! Kaoru!* “O-Oh no! I’m-m terribly sorry, I couldn’t see what was in front of me.” you stammered as Kaoru stood up brushing himself down. “…you need to watch where you’re going…someone could get hurt…..” he muttered. You looked up at him to find he had picked up all the books you had dropped and was holding them out to you “here”.
You were honestly surprised, too surprised that you stared at him for moment in disbelief before taking the books from him. Usually people wouldn’t do this kind of thing for you, let alone a boy. You were so glad you knew someone like this. Again you looked up at him but this time with the happiest smile plastered across your face as your scarf slumped lower than usual enough for him to see it clearly “thank you Kaoru”.
You turned to take your leave on your way to the teachers’ lounge happily, *if even the smallest of things make you happy you can always enjoy your life*. Leaving Kaoru startled as he starred after you.
Kaoru’s POV
“Here” you handed the girl (you recognized to be (name)) the books she had dropped. She took a while before she finally took the books from you. *Man those books are heavy is she okay carrying them?* you thought to yourself. But before you could contemplate any further she looked back at you with a smile. A smile that sparkled ever so brightly it had startled you. Looking at her exposed face for the first time, *she has such a lovely smile on her face, I wonder why she’s always hiding it?* you thought to yourself. “Thank you Kaoru” she said before walking away. Startling you again for the second time that day because she had said that you were Kaoru, of course it could be just luck but something told you it was not.
“Kaoru!” exclaimed Hikaru as he came around the corner “Are you alright? I heard you crashed into someone! You need to be more careful.”
“I’m alright Hikaru…really…” you assured your brother a little distracted.
“But Kaoru your face is red something must be wrong…..here let me take care of you.” spoke Hikaru as he embraced you following your usual brotherly act.
“Y-You worry too much..” you continued. But much to your surprise Hikaru was right your face was a little warm.

Normal POV
After going to the teachers’ lounge you made your way to class only to bump into Haruhi. “Haruhi!” you greeted her with a hug as she laughed “hey (name).”
You both entered the class together chatting about random stuff when Haruhi said “you should come and sit with me”
You were surprised by this but you were also happy that she wanted you to be with her. “Uhhh….I don’t know Haurhi….I would just be a bother to your friends so it’s okay I ca—..”
Hikaru and Kaoru who were watching you two when you entered the classroom interrupted “Hey Haurhi! We didn’t know you were good friends with (name)-chan” speaking in unison as they looked at you.
You hid your face in your scarf as you blushed from the suffix -chan they added to your name. Haruhi sighed before speaking “I don’t remember needing to tell you everything about who I hang out with guys”.
The twins blinked at Haruhi for a moment before both grabbing a hold of you and dragging you to their seats “she can come sit with us!” Much to your dismay of the physical contact with them you now had to sit with them but Haruhi being there helped you relax a little.
Your face grew hot as you realized you were sitting next to Kaoru, the very person who you were beginning to look up to, you weren’t sure if you were glad or afraid.
“Sooooooooo….. How long have you guys been friends for?” asked Hikaru a little interested.
“She’s been my best friend since early middle school.” answered Haurhi. You nodded slightly in agreement/confirmation.
“Hmmm….interesting….”said Kaoru as he looked back at you again.
(Classes began)
When it was finally break time the twins disappeared, much to your relief because throughout class they had been watching you carefully not that you’d know why. Haurhi had noticed your discomfort “don’t worry (name) they’re probably just curious as to who you are because you’re my best friend and all” she assured you.
But it wasn’t so assuring as you had the feeling it was something a little more serious than that. Before you could move to stand the twins appeared in front of you smiling “Oh (name)-chan~” they started before grabbing a hold of you by your arms and dragging you away. “Hey! Wait you two!” shouted Haruhi before running after you.
Before you knew it you were in a dark room. You were shaking, a little frightened as to where you were and what would happen next when you realized the twins were still holding onto you. Before you could speak the lights turned on revealing the host club.
*W-What is going on here?!*
“You are (name) (last name) the other honor student correct?” spoke a voice.
